The surrounding area of Bordeaux is famous for its wine, but also for the beauty of the landscape and the tranquillity of the small towns in the basin. The elegant town of Arcachon offers the perfect setting for a peaceful stay. Cap Ferret always attracts visitors with its long beaches, ideal for surfing and relaxing (the Truc Vert and Grand Crohot are the best), its trendy boutiques and its restaurants (« Chez Hortense », feet in the sand, or at « Ona » in Arrès, the only Michelin star vegan restaurant in France). In front, the Dune du Pilat and its sunset over the bay is magnificent: on a clear day you can even see the Pyrenees! A boat trip to the Banc d'Arguin is a must to complete the stay! With a glass of white wine and oysters on the plate preferably… But the wine is probably what’s still most famous about this amazing region in France. And the Bordeaux is renowned as one of the best in the world! Our 6 days trip will take us to Saint Emilion and other great chateaux where we will taste some of the best wines, discover the French caviar produced in the region, but also meet oysters producers, take a boat tour on the sunset enjoying a traditional « apéritif », and fill our luggages with the numerous great patés, cannelés and macarons produced in the area. Bordeaux and it’s surrounding are our favorite place in France, this trip is a very special one!
